Looks like some seller may have caught the news of the hot market, as we reported higher than average new listing additions this week, and well over the reported stat from last year at this time. The burning question from last year still remains, will the buyer surge continue on into this new year. All signs point to yes, with new listings enjoying above average viewings and multiple offers, sparking continued buyer frustration. Quite the stark market environment from a short three years ago, going from the highest inventory HRM has ever seen, to the lowest in over a decade. If you didn't see the 2018 market year in review, I would highly encourage a quick look (scroll down) to see the market change from a balanced one in areas, to a sellers market in several. January does tend to be a bit busy out of the gate, but ends up softening a little when the full brunt of Winter comes calling. Still, I'm not sure if the icy chill of the approaching cold months are enough to cool this market. Time will tell, so make sure to keep in touch to find out! Thanks for stopping by!
