Secondly, I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, as this will be the last post for 2013. I plan on doing the year in review in the first week of January, so make sure you stop in to see how we made out compared to previous years. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank and congratulate all of my clients on their property sales and purchases, and wish them all the best in the new year! And last but not least, I would like to take a moment to think about and thank all of our troops that are deployed or cannot be with their loved ones this holiday season. I know personally it gets difficult around this time to be away, but the support of friends and family make it easier to soldier on through the days. Thanks again to all of my readers, and I look forward to meeting you all one day! Happy New Year!! WEEKLY ADOGTABLE Taffy is moving from the "adopted" section back to the "available dogs" section of our facebook page - she has not meshed with the dog already living in the home, and the new owners feel like it's really just not working out - so the search for a new owner has begun. Taffy needs a home with no other dogs to compete with resources in the home with and also should have no children. Taffy loves balls, she loves to snuggle - on her own terms, she loves kongs, she loves being near you, she loves off leash walks in the woods, she can be left at home in the day without you and she's not much of a barker - but she's really decided that she'd rather be the only dog in the home. She spent five long yard years outside, and she has a lot of love to give - and she'd rather not share that love with another dog. Follow up with a trainer will be given in her new home. Taffy is available through no chains all love dog rescue society, and more info about this and other adoptable's looking for their furever home can be found by clicking the picture. Although the white stuff hasn't started flying yet, the end of the year seems to have been a final push for many listed on the market, or looking for a great deal. This weeks expired listings where extremely high, also typical for this time of year. Weary sellers who have lasted out the market in hopes of getting that year end bid, find themselves reflecting on the market and what may have been done differently. No doubt a good percentage of those who expired this week will return in the Spring, hopefully with renewed vigour, realistic goals, and a new marketing strategy. Although the statistics reflect the fact that sales have been quite poor this year, when it comes time to re-list a property in the Spring, many folks might opt for a change in representation. Without question, the marketing landscape for property is completely different from what it was 5-10 years ago, you could even go as far as say 2-3 years ago. Technology is leading the way to a new, tech savvy, and educated buyers and sellers. Make sure you find the right fit to stand above the swell of inventory, and take the question of marketing from the back of your mind. Make sure you check out the monthly graphical analysis for November by scrolling down. Thanks for stopping by! WEEKLY ADOGTABLE Tammy is a 4 year old Am staff, that once she gains your trust will become a total love bug. She loves the outdoors, running around being a total goof, getting a belly rub, or just going for a stroll. In the house she will lay at you feet and play with her toys for hours, or snuggle up next to you for some cuddles. She is house trained, kennel trained, spayed, micro-chipped, UTD on vaccines. Tammy would love a nice quiet home to hang out with her people in. She would also require a home without any other pets in it. This beauty is currently being cared for by Pit Project Rescue, a non profit rescue association. Details about this beauty and others ready for a "furever" home, including how to adopt, other dogs for adoption, and ways to donate, can be found by clicking the picture :) Thank you for your consideration! Newest blog post HERE Conforming to annual trend, Halifax inventory continued its slow decline into the winter market. Well above out inventory last year, and still very much the record holder for largest amount of inventory in Halifax recorded. Average sale prices are still encouraging, or discouraging depending who you talk to. One camp says "reduce now stimulate sales!" while another camp declares "I have my price and I'm sticking to it". Not as simple as a few price corrections however. Still circling the drain is our monthly sales here in Halifax. Oddly enough, October has proven to be a decent sales month, and by the time we reach November, the sales window closes. Are you familiar with ViewPoint Realty?
