Looks like the fall market is ramping up early with a small bite out of both the Single Family and Condo inventory. Is it just a coincidence that the warm weather brings higher sales volume? I don't think so. Buyers are more inclined to get out there and take a look at that potential listing thats been on their to do list when the weather is so-operating.

Not too much activity to comment about this week. Must be the fact that the big yellow orb in sky has graced our fair city with it's presence. The sales fought back this week, however the new listings are keeping the sales to list ratio down as the residential inventory continues to climb. Maybe the cool weather has prompted some home owners to list early as Halifax residents patience wears thin with fall like termperatures.
So as you can see, the residential sales in HRM are better this July than last but still lag behind the years prior to 2010.
Average selling price continues to hold steady above the previous July months at just over the 250k range.
Halifax Residential Inventory continues to climb this month but still just under July in 2009 coming in at 4,466 actives.
