Not sure if the weather or the holidays have been impacting the market activity much, but there is a sense of "calm before the storm" out there right now. Although the late Winter market performed well, there has been talks of whether that activity was supposed to happen in the Spring now that things seemed to have tapered off a bit. The stats are still performing well however, you just can't get a true sense of the market unless you are immersed in it. New listings are down a bit this week, likely to the weather and approaching holiday weekend, but sales still performed well, including property that received and accepted offers. The end of the Easter weekend usually marks the unofficial start to the Spring market, so I think we will chalk up the last few weeks to "preparation", in what hopes to be another solid market season. Stay tuned to stay on top of things, and thanks for stopping by! The Weekly Adogtable! Loki is a young, handsome boy searching for a new home. This spunky boy has a ton of energy and he can't wait to release it with his new family! He is quite mouthy and jumpy, so he'll need some guidance on how to behave like a true pup but with some training this should take no time as he's super smart. Loki does have separation anxiety, and as a result, has exhibited destructive behaviours. Potential adopters will need to be prepared for a high energy dog, who would be happiest to have someone at home with him for most of the day. Loki would be best suited in a home: -Could live with a very tolerant dog, as Loki is very rambunctious when meeting other dogs. -Absolutely no cats. -A home that could continue crate training to keep Loki safe from his separation anxiety. -Children over the age of 12. -Highly active (runs, 2+ walks a day, hikes, dog sport). -Proof of registration in obedience classes is required at the time of adoption. This "cuddly companion" is available through Homeward Bound City Pound, a non profit rescue organization from Halifax, Nova Scotia.
