The anticipation after the correction was that there would be more and more options as time pressed on, but with an incredible first half of the year, the impact carries into what should be the slower months of the year. Not a ton of new inventory popped to market this week and buyer activity report rather low as well, which is not all that surprising given the Canada Day long weekend. Most folks will take that weekend to get out and enjoy the activities, or simply relax and take a break, which includes both buyers and sellers out there. Still, there seems to be a rather relaxed atmosphere out there currently, even before the holiday weekend, perhaps a back off while people monitor the interest rate situation, or perhaps interest overall has wained for now. The market right now is ebb and flow, and week to week, so stay tuned to the blog to stay informed and on top of the changing market! Thanks for stopping by! The Weekly "Adogtable"I'm Macho. I am a wee chihuahua mix boy weighing in at only 5.5lbs. I am 3 yrs old and I was surrendered to the rescue because I was just too much energy for my senior owner. I am now ready to start the search for my forever home. I LOVE other dogs of all sizes. I think I'd prefer a fur sibling in my forever home so I can have socialization + gain more confidence + I just love them so much!! I do have some separation anxiety and feel that a canine sibling could help me overcome this also. I love all women, men...not so much. When my foster Dad talks in a low, calm voice, we're usually OK but any sudden movements or louder tone and I will still react to him even though I've been here a couple weeks now. For this reason younger children probably aren't ideal either since they tend to be fast moving. I also mouth when playing, so again, probably not best for young ones. This is a work in progress. I have no leash reactivity to animals or people and enjoy walking. I can easily do hour long walks. I am a medium energy fella...I love to play and do have some puppy energy spurts but I also can sleep on the couch for hours. I don't mind baths at all. I don't really enjoy getting my nails clipped but I tough it out like a real champ. I am crate trained but I'm not destructive when left alone so don't really need one, except for maybe in a vehicle as I don't really enjoy car rides...they make me very nervous. I am house trained as long as I am kept on a good schedule. No poo accidents inside at all and as long as I am taken out every three hours I don’t pee inside. I am an expert cuddler & love to sleep in bed under the blankets with you. I enjoy toys and balls. I was tested with a cat: I was interested but just wanted to be friends. I would probably be fine in a house with a cat that was used to dogs. To sum me up, I'm a wee lad who loves the ladies. With patience, I could eventually get to love and trust a dad but that could take awhile. I do like children but sudden movements from them do put me on edge so for now it's probably best to just avoid living with any. I do get very attached to my people so it's unlikely I'd be a flight risk but it's always better to be safe and keep me leashed. I'd love, love, love at least one doggy sibling in my new forever home. If I sound like the ideal family member for you, please let my rescuers know that you want to take me home. My adoption fee is a $500 donation to the rescue to help save more dogs like me. I am neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, come with a 6-week trial of pet insurance from PetSecure and have all my doggy papers to come home to you!
