Every tracked category showed impressive increases, with single-family homes leading the charge. Last week, it appeared that this year's inventory might start to align with last year's, but this week's remarkable upward trend has created a substantial gap between the two. In fact, this is the largest inventory we've seen since mid-July 2020! This is fantastic news for buyers, who must be thrilled with the plethora of options now available. The big question is how long this trend will continue. It seems we haven't reached the peak yet, especially with the influx of new listings this week, marking one of the largest surges we've seen in quite some time. Buyer activity also saw a significant boost this week, with over 200 listings receiving and accepting offers. The increased inventory has clearly inspired buyers to seize the opportunity, and with more choices on the market, there's less competition to worry about. This dynamic shift is creating a more favourable environment for those looking to make their next move in the Halifax real estate market.
