The market is off to a slower, post-holiday start but brimming with opportunities for buyers and sellers alike.The Halifax/Dartmouth real estate market kicked off 2025 with a slower post-holiday pace. 149 new listings hit the market, but only 44 sales closed, bringing the sale-to-list ratio down to 30%. Inventory stands at 1,309 active listings, giving buyers ample options as the season begins. Single-family homes saw 617 active listings, with average prices of $606,447 (list) and $559,500 (sold). The sale-to-list ratio dipped to 92%, and homes averaged 37 days on market. Meanwhile, condos held steady with 127 active listings, average prices of $469,083 (list) and $464,133 (sold), and a robust 99% sale-to-list ratio, though they lingered for 43 days. Land remains plentiful with 378 vacant lots available, perfect for builders looking to start the year strong.
