With the slowest listing time of the year coinciding with the lowest inventory levels of the year, coupled with the continued buyer activity, presents aren't the only things flying off the shelves for weary buyers. Sometimes you hit a perfect star alignment, and this week seems to be just that. Inventory this week continues to decline as we approach the holiday season and end of the year, but it looks like buyers are still trying to squeeze every last minute out of the market. With each passing day though, there's less and less to choose from, and the hope is that the new market year will be a bit more fruitful of a search for those that couldn't seal the deal. Surprising year for quite a few areas of the market, and the players that participated this year, Stay tuned as we close out the year with a bang, and see the overall impact of what turned out to be quite the exciting market year. Thanks for stopping by! Meet Walter, the gentle giant. The Weekly Adogtable! Walter is a giant senior pup looking to live out his golden years in the best way he can! He is a bit of a lazy boy who loves to curl up on a big bed and snore the day away, with the occasional walk to keep him in shape. Walter prefers to keep to himself, but he's more than willing to seek out attention and some lovings from his people when he wants it. *Palliative Adoption* Potential adopters are advised that Walter has chronic medical issues, and will require lifelong medication(s) to help manage his skin allergies and arthritis, which can be costly for a dog of his size. Our staff will be happy to explain in further detail and address any questions or concerns upon visiting the shelter during our adoption hours. Walter would thrive best in a home: -Without other animals (due to reactivity) -With children over the age of 16 years -With an adopter who is financially prepared to commit to Walter's lifelong medical expenses and dietary needs (palliative adoption) -Preference for experienced adopters who are familiar with dog behaviours This "cuddly companion" is available through Homeward Bound City Pound, a non profit rescue organization from Halifax, Nova Scotia.
